Once the toast of the ton, Lady Angelina DeBrooke is no longer known just for her exquisite beauty, but more for her notorious marriages. Dubbed the Dark Angel, she has fallen in love for the first time and wishes to marry, but fears finding herself a widow for the third time. With two poisoned husbands and a cloud of suspicion hanging over her head, she turns to the only man in England who might help her…
Benjamin Wallace, Lord Heathton, isn’t interested in playing detective again, but when Lady DeBrooke approaches him in a quest to clear her name, he finds the challenge irresistible. Her second husband was an old friend, and when he takes a closer look, he catches the scent of a foe he has hunted before—and knows this is his chance to finally trap the elusive prey...

Review
Hey guys!!
I'm here to do a new review. And this on is of a book that i have read recently and really loved.
Awhile back , I sent an email to the author Emma Wildes, to see if she could provide a book for me to read in exchange for a review, to which she agreed with pleasure and much sympathy.

The book came and I ended up saving it for a time when the time were no problem and i could read it calmly. And this time came in the first weeks of June.
I really enjoyed reading this book, and it was my first finished book by Emma Wildes, cause back in 2014 I tried to read "Lessons From a Scarlet Lady" but i ended up not passing the 20 pages mark cause I wasn't on the mood for the book.
But when i saw that this book it would be released in Portugal, and I read the synopsis of "A Most Improper Rumor" it really intrigued me. And when Mrs. Wildes said that she would sent me a copy of one of her books i asked for this one.
About the book:
In this book we have Lady Angelina DeBrooke, who was accused of murder her two husbands, who were poisoned.
The plot starts when Lady DeBrooke visit Lord Heathton , known not only for its title but also for his skills as a researcher .

And it is from here that our story unfolds .
I confess I was curious but at the same time afraid to read this book because it had a certain fear that happen to me the same thing happened when I tried to read the other book of the author, but all fears have proved unwarranted. This book was a surprise.. I loved the characters that the author introduced us, being that my favorites were Lord and Lady Heathton. Their minds and their personalities made the book so much more interesting. Not taking the merit of the other protagonist couple. But I have to confess I expected more of the couple formed by Lady DeBrooke andanother character, I will not reveal it , because that would be giving spoiler. Their relationship was not as exploited as the couple Heathton , and had the potential to more than what was presented , and I confess that dind’t filled me. A super please point is the mystery created by the author who arrested me from start to finish and I'm so curious to fix it. I loved the language of the author, which made me feel like I was in 18/19th century London. And finally we have the eroticism in this story, which didn’t overshadowed the plot or became the ' main course ' displayed. In conclusion , I loved this book and can not wait for the next in this series and unravel the mystery !
